PUBG Mobile Lite is becoming more popular than PUBG in India

Akin to PUBG Mobile, the newly launched PUBG Mobile Lite has not struggled one bit to find popularity among Indians. The game now has more than 10 Million downloads on play store. The popularity of the game is evident by the fact that it became Google Play’s Top Free Game in India, within three days of its release.

The Lite version of the immensely popular PUBG Mobile was crafted by Tencent Games for entry-level smartphones, the market of which is enormous in India. This means that PUBG Mobile Lite will even run phones with less than 2GB of RAM.

Of Course, Tencent had to cut some corners to ensure that the Lite version will be playable on devices that would otherwise struggle to run the full mobile version. Notable differences include a smaller map, matches with 60 players as compared to 100 players in PUBG MOBILE, support for only two game modes- Classic and Arcade with Classic Mode housing only the Erangel Map, so no choices on that front. The game will take only around 590MB of your android’s storage space when installed.

Everything considered it has to be said that, although a bit lacking, folks at Tencent have worked well to keep the game’s feel as close to the full version as possible. It is a fun game for those who want to experience PUBG on low-level specs, and the massive success that it has had tells us just that.
